Nganampa Ngura - Our places

Opening at Post Office Projects this Sunday 21 June, Nganampa Ngura - Our places is a powerful collection of paintings and ceramics from Iwiri Arts celebrating place, memory, and connection to Country.

“We dedicate this exhibition to the memory of Kunmanara Williams, whose work features in Nganampa Ngura, and whose presence is profoundly missed and deeply felt in these works. We honour her contribution, her legacy, and the stories she leaves for future generations. We invite you to join us for the opening and to experience these remarkable works that celebrate Nganampa Ngura - Our places, our connections to Country, and to each other.”

Featuring paintings and ceramics from Iwiri Arts including Kunmanara Williams, Renita Stanley, Audrey Brumby, Ruth Nelson, Judy Armstrong, Elizabeth Dunn, and Inawinytji Stanley. Alongside Asha Southcombe’s exhibition The Green Wallpaper.

Ku Arts provides support to Aboriginal art centres across South Australia including Iwiri Arts. Since its inception in 2021 Iwiri Arts has rapidly established itself as a highly regarded studio, creating a space for artistic expression that promotes cultural retention, transmission and wellbeing across the generations while also providing Anangu artists with commercial opportunities to produce economic benefit for their family and community.
